Rasch Measurement Theory’s contribution to the psychometric properties of a co-created measure of health and wellness for Indigenous children and youth

Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are important for decision-making in health services. PRO measures (PROMs) have been traditionally used in health research and clinical trial designs. PROMs play important roles in guiding healthcare delivery and clinical practice decisions. The process of PROM development and evaluation has changed significantly in the last decade, to ensure PROMs reflect patients’ perspectives, are clinically useful, inform evidence-based practice, and empower patients in the evaluation process.
