How can the ACHWM support your community?
Wellness Measure
The intuitive tablet-based app invites Indigenous children and youth to share how they are doing by asking a simple but powerful question: “How are you?” — Aaniish Naa Gegii in Anishinabemowin.
The measure explores four interconnected dimensions of well-being: Spiritual, Emotional, Physical, and Mental. It was co-developed with Indigenous children and youth to ensure the questions are culturally meaningful, strengths-based, and grounded in Indigenous ways of knowing.
Built in partnership with communities, the platform upholds Indigenous data sovereignty by supporting community ownership, control, and use of their data. The insights generated help inform local programs and services so they can respond more effectively to the needs and priorities of Indigenous children and youth.
Wellness Resource Hub
Our team has developed a range of resources to support the (w)holistic wellness of Indigenous children and youth. This site brings these resources together into a single accessible hub for communities, families, and practitioners.
The resource hub includes wellness tools, activity sheets, facilitator guides, and other practical supports. It is designed as a starting point for communities and Nations to share, adapt, and exchange culturally relevant knowledge.
